One of my favourite slices of smooth Dutch edam ‘Mendel’ respectfully tackles a pretty stunning Nigerian original which has just been re-issued by Secousse. As with all the best edits gentle is the name of the game. ‘Mendel’ nails the tone playing to the strengths of that insanely hooky vocal all underpinned by what can only be described as a majestic bass-line. Smiles all round here.
